Welcome to UBRFC!

With just under two weeks remaining until a new year of University of Bristol Students move into their halls, we just wanted to say WELCOME and congratulations on your A-Level Results and confirming your place at the university.

We send an even bigger welcome if you are wanting to take up Rugby at any level while you are here at the university. I'm sure you are aware welcome week is running from the 19th - 25th and there is lots in store all around the university and the city.

Below is some of the key times and dates so you can pop those in your calendar to make sure you don't miss out on any information.

On the 21st of September our 1st XV take on The Royal Navy U23s under the lights at Coombe Dingle which will be the first Wednesday Night Lights of the season and will give you a great insight of what it is to be a UBRFC player, there will be lots of clubmen at this event so if you have any questions please do find one of them in their rugby fleeces and they will be happy to welcome you to the university and the game.

In the Students Union at 2pm on the 22nd of September we are holding a give it a go talk at the Students Union - room yet to be confirmed - but will be a great opportunity to meet the club and vice club captain and ask anything you want from memberships to socials and all in between. This will be a great opportunity to ask what you want before committing to the club. There will also be reps at the Welcome Fair the next day so pop to the stand and here you can register your interest for the trials on the Saturday.

Trials will be held on Saturday the 24th of September, but please don't panic we do not turn anyone away. We just do that to work out which team you are best suited for. There will be a booking system coming out in the next few days for you to book your slots. The trials will be held at Coombe Dingle on the 3G pitch so ensure you have boots, this will be a non contact session.

Following the trials in the evening the UBRFC team will welcome you ALL to the Kings Arms on Whiteladies Road at 7pm to have a drink with us as we welcome you to the rugby club. This is a very informal social and just a chance for you to meet everyone including the coaching and management team.

Welcome to UBRFC!
