2024 Tour - Madagascar

With just 3 and a half weeks to go we are pleased to share with you that 50 UBRFC players will be touring Madagascar this June.

On June 19th the team will fly to Antananarivo the capital of Madagascar to be a part of a extremely special tour. Hosted by the Madagascar RFU. The players will play 2 touring XV games and also a 7s tournament which will see the Maroon 7s hoping for glory.

There will be daily updates on the clubs social media channels and websites during the tour to give you the very best up to date information. The tour concludes with a fixture against the Madagascar National Side in the National Stadium which sees up to 20,000 spectators enjoying the sport we all love.

The players itinerary is extremely busy with visits to a local lemur safari safari, visits to local townships, coaching at local schools and full guided tours of the local area as the team will spend the full seven days in the capital of Madagascar.

Club Manager Olly Slym said "its been a tough tour to secure, getting flights to Madagascar isn't easy. However this is what playing rugby is about at The University of Bristol. Incredible tours, competitive rugby whilst achieving a fantastic degree."

The tour departs on June 19th with regular updates on their social media channels.
